The Upware boat club raised £1,100 for the Hunstanton lifeboat appeal in an event held at the Cambridge motorboat club.

The RNLI stand at the 21st World Scout Jamboree in Essex was a gigantic success. Over 32,000 young people attended, from 216 countries.

Great Yarmouth and Gorleston ladies' lifeboat guild ran a draw at a staff barbecue held by Great Yarmouth-based oil and gas exploration and production company E-ON Ruhrgas. It raised £980 – a sum which E-ON Operations Manager Felix Lerche doubled.
